Overview:
The food here is amazing. Came here on a Friday night with a girlfriend who made the reso a month in advance. Service is good, though we had 2 or 3 people serving our one table. I think they must pool their tips.
We did a 4 course tasting and ordered the Ricci because we had heard great things. You have to try this - it's fabulous!
First course was Seppia (cuttlefish) a cold dish with a nice presentation - very fresh! My friend won this round, however, with the Polipo antipasti. The octopus was grilled to perfection and was meaty and delicious.
Next course, friend had the Rigatoni with squid ink. Very good although could have benefited from less onions. The best thing I ate all night was my second course, which was the Fusilli with bone marrow and octopus. It's PERFECT. I could eat that every day.
Third courses were the Capesante (scallops) and Branzino, both very good.
For dessert, we shared the Bomboloni (fried donuts) and one other option that I really can't remember. It wasn't my favorite (obviously). However, the donuts were awesome and came with some really great ice cream.
The server brought out a tiny tray of mini chocolates with the check and he saw how much we enjoyed them so brought us a second tray!
All in all, an amazing meal. We each spent about $170 which included the tasting, an extra app, and a bottle of wine. The atmosphere is fine, if a little stuffy. With food this good though, I would have eaten anywhere!
